In the digital sound & video world, the CD & DVD is known by all. The maximum size of a CD is 700MB & a single layer DVD size is 4.7GB. The size of a standard definition quality movie is 4.6GB between 2.15 hours. To make the video quality much higher form the current time, the video development company use High Definition (HD) Technology. In the HD technology it is high definition bandwidth. So, the 2.15 hours digital HD video size is going 23GB. For this need, the Blu Ray Disk was invented.
Blu Ray is the optical disk format that was created for the 4th generation. A single layer Blu Ray Disc (RD) capacity is 25GB, that’s mean the dual layers is 50GB. For the advantage of his little wavelength of Blu-violate, ray it read & writes the whole data better then the normal DVD’s aurally & densely. Recently, the Pioneer Company extended Blu Ray Disc capacity into 500GB by creating the 20 individual layers. But, now it did not relished in market for used of general people’s.
Construction
To writes & read the normal DVD it was used Red Ray Technology which wavelength is wavelength 650 nm. But the use of Blu Ray (BD) disk the Blu-violate Rye wavelength is 405 nm. For its little size, it reads & save the data easily. By decreasing the size of DVD tracks it enlarge the Blue Ray disc capacity. The data transfer rate of Blu-ray-is 36 Mbps (megabits per second) while the normal DVD transfer rate 10 Mbps.
Note, this disk name is Blu-Ray Disc, not Blue-ray Disc. In a word, “BD” (not BR or BRD
The Formats are... * BD-ROM (read-only) – for pre-recorded content
* BD-R (recordable) – for PC data storage
* BD-RW (rewritable) – for PC data storage
* BD-RE (rewritable) – for HDTV recording
Good job! I appreciate your blog. Have a nice blogging.
