ICANN will provide Dot [.] any extension domain name

International domain name register company ICANN has been announced that, they will be providing any extension top level domain name very soon. Generally we are known about the matter of .com, .net, .org and country domain like .bd, .in, .us etc. But, now if you want to register a top level domain name by your desire name or something else like domainname.shoan or domainname.ais etc, then you might need to apply for your top level domain name to ICANN . For your brand new top level domain name you need to spend huge amount of sum. At first for one time application charge is $185,000 and the yearly charge of $25,000.

For this matter ICANN president and CEO said, ICANN has opened the Internet’s addressing system to the limitless possibilities of the human imagination.

There have possibility of using top level domain for own brand. It will be very funny and interesting of using small domain name like .bs and wp; specially, whom are using many sub domain name like WordPress and BlogSpot. I think very soon the small domains are available for free of use. :D

This type of domain name application date will started 12 January’2012 and will end at 12 April’2012. So, we need to wait and see which domain names are register newly for us. Have any choose of your own brand? ;)
